Stage 4 Water Restrictions

The City of Calgary has enacted Stage 4 Water Restrictions due to a water main break and have asked surrounding communities to do so as well. Effective December 31, the Town of Strathmore has implemented Stage 4 Water Restrictions. These restrictions mean:
• No outdoor water use (e.g., flooding outdoor ice surfaces)
• Indoor facilities such as pools, rinks, and recreation facilities will remain open

Please consider taking the following steps to reduce water consumption:
• Limit showers to under 3 minutes
• Flush toilets only when necessary
• Run dishwashers and laundry only when full

As we navigate Stage 4 Water Restrictions, our water system operator, EPCOR, is proactively topping our reservoirs to ensure we have adequate water reserves to support essential services and maintain system stability. While EPCOR manages operations behind the scenes, our community’s continued efforts to conserve water remain critical. Reduced demand helps keep reservoir levels strong and supports system reliability until Calgary’s system is fully restored.

 

Summer day camps

Strathmore Motor Products Sports Centre summer day camps aren't just something to do when school's out — they’re life-changing experiences.

In between the games and activities, something special happens. Friendships blossom, self-confidence emerges, independence grows, and through it all, our campers build resilience to help them face new challenges as they grow up.

2026 camp descriptions and costs

Join us for some fun while we head to the pool for one fun swim, play some ball hockey, head to the water park and enjoy some water games outside here at the Sports Centre. Learning other sport skills cooperative games and more while making new friends!

  • Cost: $111
  • Cost per week for half-days: $60

This is a week to get your swim lessons in, and enjoy a week of camp! Each day will include a 50 minute swim lesson. Parents must fill out the swim form and email or drop it off to the pool. After swim lessons, we will do some exploring, cooperative games!

Swim Lesson times:

  • Ages 4-5 from 11:30 a.m. to noon (pick up is at the pool for this age group)
  • Ages 6-7 years from 9:15 to 10 a.m. (drop off is at the pool for this age group)
  • Ages 8-9 years from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • Ages 10-12 years from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Cost: $245
Cost per week for half-days: $140

Join us we hit the pool for one day of fun swim and some exploring around town which will include a scavenger hunt and more. Stay tuned for our field trip lineup.

Join us we hit the pool for one day of fun swim, one fun skate, a field trip and participation in different sports! We'll teach you the basics of multiple sports or if you already know we'll help you step your game up.

  • Explore multiple sports that involved balls including basketball, volleyball, soccer and more.
  • Learn some cooperative games that you can your friends can play when you come on down outside of camp! 
  • No swimming or skating this week.

Cost per week for half-days: $100

We still get to swim one fun swim this with week, then train like an Olympian. This involves doing a mixture of sports and learning about different Olympic athletes and sports.

Let's celebrate a wonderful summer through trips to the water park, adventures around town, and a movie! Of course we will have games and scavenger hunts too. No swimming this week. 

  • Cost: $148
  • Cost per week for half-days: $80
  • Full-day camps go from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Half-day camps run from 9 a.m. to noon
    • Note: Half-day camps will not have a fun swim as these take place in the afternoon. Some fun activities will include water at the Sports Centre.  
  • If camps are not full, drop-in days will be available.

Camp Pre-Care

Do you need to get to work before 9 a.m. but want your child to join camp? Pre-care is available from 7:45 a.m. to 9 a.m. 

  • Cost:
    • per day: $5.75
    • by the week: $19.00 to $23.75

  • Return them to
    • Strathmore Motor Products Sport Centre in person at 1150 Edgeview Road, or
    • Email them to lisa.montgomery@strathmore.ca before the start date of your registered camp.
  • If more than one child is registered from a family, a separate registration package is required for EACH child.
  • If you’re registering your child for more than one week of camp, only one registration package is required for the camper, and will be kept on file for the duration of the summer.
  • New forms are required for all campers returning to camp for 2025!

Cancellations or Transfers Information

Cancellations made in writing 7 business days prior to the start of camp will be permitted a refund minus the $23.71 administrative fee. A cancellation request made less than 7 days prior to the start of camp will not receive a refund. 

Should you require a transfer of camps there will be a $11.72 transfer fee.  Prorated refunds will not be given if a participant misses a day for any reason. Exceptions where a full/partial refund may be given regardless of refund policy include: injury/illness that prevent participation in the program and a date stamped doctors note is provided.  Other extenuating circumstances may be considered at the Managers discretion.
