Temporary Stage 3 Water Restrictions
Starting May 4, 2026, the Town of Strathmore will be taking the Wildflower Reservoir offline to complete electrical upgrades and finalize improvements to pumping, HVAC, and backup power systems. Stage 3 outdoor water restrictions are required and will be in place until the work is completed.
Residents are encouraged to start preparing for restrictions now by:
- Catching up on laundry
- Tackling any house cleaning you may still have
- Washing your car

Starting March 1st, if you have a modest income and simple tax situation, Strathmore FCSS and volunteers can help prepare basic income taxes. This service is for seniors and people that can't prepare taxes on their own.
First, make an appointment with us. You can either drop in or call 403-934-9090 to make an appointment.
Bring Government issued photo identification and all your tax slips to your appointment. At your appointment, you'll fill in consent forms that allows FCSS to complete your taxes. Your tax slips will be stored in a locked location until they are processed.
Taxes are processed in the order they are received, generally within 2 weeks of your appointment. Once done, you'll review your taxes and sign off on them before they are submitted to E-file.

The Seniors Tax Rebate Program is designed to help low-income senior property owners manage municipal property tax increases. Eligible seniors can apply to receive a rebate, offering financial relief and support to those living on a fixed income. This way, long-time residents can continue to enjoy their homes and community without added financial strain.
