Red Dress Day A day of awareness and remembrance, honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people. Join us for a blessing, speeches, walk around Kinsmen Lake, dancers, and a free BBQ. May 5, 2026 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. All Tim Hortons locations in Strathmore
Moose Hide Campaign Join the Moose Hide Campaign to stand against violence and support reconciliation efforts. Enjoy drum teachings, guest speakers, and a meal. May 15, 2026 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Strathmore Library

Seniors Emergency  Preparedness Day

Seniors Emergency Preparedness Day is a community event focused on helping older adults build confidence and practical skills to respond to emergencies.

The event provides accessible information on topics such as evacuation planning, personal safety, emergency supplies, and staying connected during a crisis.

Participants can engage with local emergency services and community organizations to learn about available supports and resources. The goal is to strengthen preparedness, promote independence, and ensure seniors feel informed and supported in managing emergency situations.

National Indigenous Peoples Day

National Indigenous Peoples Day is observed annually on June 21 to recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada.

FCSS Park

Pop-Up

The FCSS Park Pop-Up is a casual community outreach event taking place at the local splash park, where FCSS staff will be on site connecting with families and community members.

Attendees can enjoy free popsicles while learning more about available programs, supports, and services offered through FCSS.
