What's happening
We’re studying what to do with undeveloped court space at the Strathmore Motor Products Sports Centre.
It’s currently a concrete pad and we know that our community wants more options for fitness and wellness programs. We want this space to become a valuable recreation space for the community and help meet your needs.
Staff is exploring the possibilities, costs, community need and public support to potentially develop it into a multi-use court space for sports like basketball, pickleball, volleyball and other recreation or community activities, similar to existing gymnasiums.
No decision has been made at this point to build additional courts. We first need to gather more information – such as community feedback and estimated costs – so Council can make an informed decision.
