Community Access Card

The FCSS Community Access Card helps individuals and families facing financial barriers enjoy Town of Strathmore recreation facilities at reduced rates. With this program, it's easier for residents to stay active, healthy, and connected in our community.

What is the Community Access Card?

The Community Access Card provides eligible residents with discounts of 10 percent, 25 percent, 50 percent, or 75 percent on entry fees or memberships to Town of Strathmore recreation facilities. The discount level is determined based on household income and family size, following the Government of Alberta’s income guidelines.

Please note, only residents who meet specific financial criteria based on household income and size are eligible for the Community Access Card. Proof of income and household composition is required.

Family is defined as - two adults and an unlimited number of dependents/youth (under the age of 18) living at the same residence.

Family Member is defined as - an individual a part of a nuclear family, not extended family (cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.)

Key benefits include:

  • Affordable recreation – Reduced admission and membership fees for those who qualify.
  • Community engagement – Encourages participation in local recreational activities for low-income residents.
  • Confidential access – Approved applicants receive a personalized card listing household members, allowing seamless and private facility entry.

For more information, please refer to the Community Access Card sub levels.

We follow the thresholds provided in Policy 5104. Refer to the Community Access Card policy and procedures for more information.

Where can the card be used?

The Community Access Card is only valid for entrance and membership fees at the following Town of Strathmore recreation facilities:
