What You’ll Do:
Reporting to the Head Lifeguard, you will be responsible for delegating tasks and providing supervision to the aquatic team in order to deliver quality swimming lessons, fitness classes, and other programs and services. You will be safety-focused and prepared to respond to emergency situations and implement lifesaving and first aid procedures.

Senior Lifeguard Hiring Process:
- National Lifeguard Skills Assessment
- Stroke Assessment
- Instructor Co-Teach Experience / Swim Instructor (if required)
- Interview
Successful applicants will demonstrate on their resume:
- Current Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Certificate – Pool
- Current Standard First Aid Certificate (within three years)
- Current CPR C / AED Certificate (within one year)
- Lifesaving - Swim Instructor (within 2 years)
Our interview questions are intended to assess the following key competencies:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, and provide mentorship and motivation to a team
- Ability to prioritize safety, recognize the signs of an emergency, and take appropriate action
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public, team members, and leaders
