Town Launches Municipal Development Plan Review

“Strathmore Forward” seeks to modernize and build upon 2014 Municipal Development Plan

The Town has launched a Municipal Development Plan (MDP) Review at the meeting of the Committee of the Whole on Wednesday, July 10, following a presentation from the project team in Development Services.

July 18, 2024 - Water Restriction Update
Oh, we’re moving on down! Stage two outdoor water restrictions are now in place.💧

Calgary has turned on an additional pump at Bearspaw, increasing the flow of water through the feeder main, and continues to monitor the water pipe and transmission system.

What does that mean for us? Well, Strathmore has been able to downgrade our restrictions from level three to level two.

The one-year pilot program will offer three (3) grants, each worth up to $30,000, to support local medical offices in their efforts to attract physicians to Strathmore, should they choose to take on the role of Sponsor through the established College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) program. After the one-year term, the program will be reviewed and brought back to Council for consideration.
