Community Delegation Night

Budget 2024. Resident Engagement - Community Funding

Are you part of an organization that relies on outside funding? If so this is your chance to have a funding request for your organization reviewed by Council as part of the 2024 Capital Budget.

Community organizations provide recreation, culture, education, and other benefits to Strathmore’s residents – and for people across our region. The Town of Strathmore supports the work of these organizations through grants and funding agreements. In 2023, over $800,000 in funds was provided to more than 20 community organizations.

All community organizations are invited to request funding as part of the 2024 budget process. This is your opportunity to be included in this conversation for 2024.

A Community Organization Night will be held during a Special Council Meeting on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.  Groups like yours have an opportunity to present a request for funding, answer questions from Council, and see other groups present as well. The information from this Special Council Meeting will inform the 2024 budget. Once the budget is passed in early December, community organizations will be informed of the status of their funding request.

Here's how you can participate!

  • Determine what funds your organization requires and how they will be used to help deliver programs, services or supports in Strathmore
  • Complete the Application for Funding Form. *Hint, you'll need a budget for the requested fund and a copy of the previous year's financial statement.
  • Gather additional accompanying documents. These can be letters of support, statistics or community impact reports.
  • Complete the  online Delegation Form to present at a Council Meeting here.
  • Send your Application for Funding Form and accompanying documents to LsAdmin@Strathmore.ca
  • You application process must be completed no later than October 13, 2023 to be considered.
