What You’ll Do:

Reporting to the Director, Community & Protective Services, and the Detachment Commander, the Municipal Employee Supervisor will supervise municipal employees who provide administrative support within the Strathmore RCMP detachment, ensuring efficient daily administrative operations and high-quality service delivery.

This role requires the Supervisor to handle complex issues, manage workflow, recruit & train staff, and also provide essential front-line support, when needed. The Supervisor will display a commitment to confidentiality, effective leadership, and the ability to contribute to a dynamic police environment.

Successful applicants will demonstrate on their resume:

  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP Enhanced Level Security Clearance. Possessing a current clearance would be an asset.
  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of administrative experience, preferably in a policing environment
  • Strong leadership, conflict management, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient and accurate computer skills
  • Knowledge of the RCMP and judicial court and legal systems is highly desirable
  • Experience assisting in court-related duties, including compilation of legal documents and court briefs, is preferred

  • Ability to foster connections among team members to ensure a cohesive unit
  • References who can confirm your strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
