Boards and Committees

Boards & Committees

Strathmore's Boards and Committees play a critical role in public policy development, implementation, and review for the Town Council.

These groups serve an important function in molding decisions for our community, acting as the voice of the residents, and providing you a chance to take part in the Town's future direction. They carry out the following activities:

  • Provide advice and guidance to Council
  • Make recommendations to Council, or
  • Hear and decide appeals on Town matters.
Board members can be public members, Council members, and/or Town staff.
At the annual Council Organizational Meeting in October, the Mayor and Councillors are appointed to various committees that require Town Council representation. Council will also review and appoint public members as required.
