Legislative Services

Legislative Services staff in the Town of Strathmore provide expertise to ensure activities of your local government run smoothly. They are available to answer questions and provide guidance regarding the legislation and rules in place for Alberta municipalities.

They also:

Prepare and preserve records of official business, including bylaws, policies and minutes of Council and Committee meetings.
Administer the Access to Information Act and Protection of Privacy Act (ATIA/POPA) protocols.
Facilitate local elections.
Work as part of the Communications & Marketing team to support all areas. Work to support public participation and engagement in municipal decisions, such as the advertising of Public Hearings.
