Statement from the Town - August 20, 2026

The Town of Strathmore is aware of concerns following a recent interaction on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at a Town-owned facility.

The Town respects individuals' right to peacefully express their views and participate in democratic processes. The group was able to continue gathering and expressing its views. Town facilities are shared community spaces, and activities within them must follow the rules and operating requirements in place for each facility. These requirements are applied consistently, regardless of the cause or political viewpoint involved.

Our priority is to keep Town facilities safe, welcoming, and accessible for everyone, while ensuring they remain available for the programs, services, and public meetings they are intended to support.
