Fire Advisory

A Fire Advisory is in effect for the Town of Strathmore.

This fire advisory is due to the unusually dry and warm conditions. A fire advisory is issued to inform residents about conditions which pose a moderate to high fire risk in the municipality.

Fires requiring a permit, including open air burning and fireworks, are prohibited. Approved barbeques and fire pits with a screen or chimney are still permitted. 

Residents are always required to supervise fires in fire pits and have a source of extinguishment (i.e. garden hose) readily available. No fire should be left unsupervised.
