In attendance: Deputy Mayor Wegener, Councillor Langmaid, Councillor Mitzner, Councillor Montgomery Councillor Peterson, Councillor Wiley

A community member presented to Council requesting revisions to the Community Standards Amendment Bylaw.

A resident of Lambert Village presented a signed letter to Council from 33 residents, regarding noise in the evenings from the Kinsmen Park pavilion. Administration will return to Council with a report on October 11, 2023.

Council approved meeting minutes, a meeting schedule amendment, and the Corporate and Strategic report for Quarter Two as part of the Consent Agenda.

Council approved a letter requesting membership to the Mid-Sized Cities Mayors’ Caucus.

Council discussed the Council Procedure Amending Bylaw, 23-28 regarding recorded votes. The Amending Bylaw was given first and second reading.

Councillor Peterson made a note encouraging residents to learn about the activities taking place for the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.

Council proclaimed September 17 – 23, 2023 as National Legion Week. View the proclamation here.
