Council Meeting Highlights, March 1, 2023

In attendance: Mayor Fule, Deputy Mayor Wegener, Councillor Langmaid, Councillor Peterson, Councillor Montgomery, Councillor Wiley

At last evening’s Council meeting, Council gave final reading to the Land Use Amending Bylaw 23-02 - regarding variance requests, and renewed the lease agreement with the Vault Cultural Collective.

• The meeting began with a Public Hearing for the Land Use Amending Bylaw 23-02, regarding removing the requirement that variances over 25% be referred to Council for decision. 
• Council approved the carry forward of three operating projects and reviewed the WHMB meeting minutes from February 15, 2023 as part of the Consent Agenda.
• Council authorized the Chief Administrative Officer to sign the 2023 lease agreement with The Vault Cultural Collective.
• Council gave second and third reading to the Land Use Amending Bylaw 23-02.
• After an In-Camera session Council approved a motion regarding Council-to-Council meetings with Siksika Nation.
