2026 Community Funding Requests
Delegation Night
The Town of Strathmore recognizes the valuable contributions of community organizations that offer recreation, culture, education, and other essential services to residents. To support their efforts, Strathmore Town Council has historically provided limited assistance through grants and funding agreements.
Each year, the Town of Strathmore hosts a meeting to hear funding requests from community groups. To ensure all organizations have an equal opportunity to present to Council, this event is held on a single evening prior to budget deliberations. While Delegation Night typically takes place in October, this year’s schedule will be different due to the municipal election on October 20. The event will be held later to allow time for the new Council to be sworn in and brought up to speed.
Community Funding – Delegation Night
A Special Council Meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 17, 2025 at 6:00 pm.
Groups will be given an opportunity to:
- present a request for funding
- answer questions from Council
- see other groups present
This information helps Council in making informed decisions during the 2026 budgeting process, ensuring that funding allocations align with both the Town of Strathmore’s financial framework and Council’s strategic priorities. Once the budget is approved in early December, community organizations will be notified of the outcome of their funding requests.
How can you take part?
Interested delegations may download and submit a completed Town of Strathmore Funding Request Form to LSAdmin@strathmore.ca by noon on November 6, 2025.
Some applicants will also require a Town of Strathmore Funding Accountability Report. (Please download and email along with your funding request form.)

Once received, you will be contacted with information on next steps for presenting your request to Council for consideration.
Your form and supporting materials must be submitted no later than end of day on November 6, 2025.
